1.2 Preparing natural aloe vera the right way

Peel off the green skin of the aloe vera and rinse away the yellow sap which is bad for your health. Dice the see-through flesh into small pieces, then soak them in diluted salt water to remove residues.

To make sure the aloe vera is completely clean, blanch it in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes, then immediately soak it in cold water for around 20 minutes. Finally, drain well using a sieve.

1.3 Cooking aloe vera with rock sugar

When the water starts boiling, add the cleaned aloe vera cubes, and simmer for a short while until the water gently bubbles, then turn off the heat.

1.4 Mixing the milk base

Add 4 cans of condensed milk and 4 cups of starter yogurt to a large bowl. Stir gently in one direction to keep the yogurt culture active. Then, pour in 2 liters of unsweetened fresh milk and mix everything evenly.

Slowly add the warm aloe vera and rock sugar mixture to the milk base, stirring lightly to prevent sudden temperature changes that could damage the culture.

1.5 Fermenting yogurt with a rice cooker

Once the mixture is ready, pour it into a jar or a bowl, then cover it tightly with plastic wrap. Place the sealed container into a rice cooker and close the lid. It’s important that you do not plug in the cooker. Let the yogurt ferment for 12 hours straight.

1.6 Final product and storage

After 12 hours of incubation, the aloe vera yogurt will have a smooth, firm touch with a pleasant smell of yogurt. The aloe vera cubes will remain crispy and stick firmly to the bowl or jar, even when turned upside down.

When stored in the fridge, the yogurt can keep for up to a week. The cool, creamy yogurt combined with crunchy aloe vera can be a fresh treat for any time of day.

2. Benefits of natural aloe vera yogurt

Many people think aloe vera yogurt is just a cool dessert for hot days. In fact, it’s a smart combination of a pleasant flavor and a range of health benefits. Let’s take a look at some of the most remarkable ones below.

2.1 Improves digestion and strengthens the body from within

Yogurt has always been a popular food for better digestion. It’s full of good bacteria that keep your stomach healthy, help digest food easily and make you feel hungrier naturally.

Natural aloe vera is rich in soluble fiber, which helps your body stay regular and eases constipation. When your digestion is running smoothly, your body can take in nutrients better, naturally strengthening your immune system and reducing common issues like colds or mild stomach troubles.

Eating aloe vera yogurt regularly helps the skin stay soft, radiant, and smooth, reducing dryness as well as early signs of aging.

2.3 Soothes skin irritation and insect bites

Besides its dietary benefits, aloe vera yogurt can also be used externally for mild cases such as sunburn, mosquito bites, or heat rashes.

The cooling, anti-itch, and anti-inflammatory properties of these two natural ingredients help calm the skin and support gentle healing.
