On the evening of November 4, 2024, at the National Convention Center, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade) held the 9th Vietnam Value Announcement Ceremony, themed "Rising into the Green Era."
In a dignified and emotional atmosphere, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn, along with leaders from central ministries and departments, witnessed a meaningful moment for Vietnamese enterprises as they strive to elevate the value of national products. This also marked GC Food’s first time receiving this prestigious recognition — asserting the presence of Vietnamese aloe vera on the global map and becoming a new element of national pride in agriculture.
Under the leadership of Chairman Nguyễn Văn Thứ, GC Food has taken the way in bringing Vietnamese aloe vera to the international stage, with a strong commitment to continuous innovation in quality and production technology. With its aloe vera product achieving national brand certification, GC Food is paving a new path for Vietnamese agriculture — proving its ability to compete globally. The company’s aloe vera products are already being exported to 20 countries, including high-standard markets such as Japan, South Korea, the EU, and the US.
In 2023, GC Food reported net revenue of 475 billion VND and pre-tax profit of 41.5 billion VND, a 16% increase compared to 2022. In just the first 9 months of 2024, the company recorded net revenue of over 432 billion VND and post-tax profit nearing 55 billion VND, already exceeding its full-year targets.
GC Food’s aloe vera brand not only meets international standards but also aligns with growing consumer trends toward green and sustainable products, reinforcing its position both domestically and internationally. The Vietnam Value is a prestigious title awarded to products that meet high standards of quality, competitiveness, and sustainability.
At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Tâm – a member of GC Food’s Board of Directors – was honored to receive the Vietnam Value certificate from Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn. She shared: “The recognition of GC Food’s aloe vera as a Vietnam Value is a tremendous source of pride for us. It’s also a powerful motivator for GC Food to continue investing in research, expanding production, and improving quality to meet the increasing demands of the market.”
According to reports by Brand Finance, Vietnam Value has shown strong and consistent growth in recent years. In 2021, its value reached 388 billion USD, up 21.6% from the previous year. In 2022, it rose to 431 billion USD (+11.1%). In 2023, it reached 498.13 billion USD, up 15.6%, ranking 33rd globally. And by 2024, the value climbed to 507 billion USD, placing Vietnam 32nd among 193 countries. This continuous growth reflects the tireless efforts of Vietnamese businesses in improving product quality and brand reputation on the international stage.
GC Food’s aloe vera earning Vietnam Value status not only opens up major opportunities for the company but also drives sustainable growth for Vietnam’s agricultural sector. As demand for green, health-focused products increases worldwide, aloe vera is emerging as a popular choice for its wellness benefits. GC Food elevating aloe vera to national brand level is both a milestone for the company and a statement of Vietnam’s capability to meet international market requirements, especially in developed regions like Europe, China, and North America.
