How to make refreshing sweet mango and aloe vera tea at home

Table of contents

On hot days, many people choose mango and aloe vera tea to cool down. The light mango aroma blends with a balanced sweet-and-tangy taste, complemented by crunchy, refreshing aloe vera jelly to create an easy-to-drink and invigorating beverage. In the article below, GC Food will guide you in selecting ingredients and preparing this refreshing drink.

1. Ingredients for making mango aloe vera tea

To prepare a glass of mango and aloe vera tea, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Jasmine tea leaves: 60g

  • Hot water (90-95°C): 1,000ml

  • Fresh mango: 1 fruit (about 200g)

  • Brewed tea: 150ml

  • Sugar syrup: 20ml

  • Mango jam: 1 tablespoon

  • GC Food aloe vera: 2 tablespoons

  • Ice cubes

Aloe vera used as a topping in beverages must be thoroughly processed to remove slime and bitterness while maintaining a firm texture when soaked in tea. This is why many consumers prefer ready-processed aloe vera products to save time and ensure consistent quality.

To meet this demand, GC Food aloe vera products are sourced from GlobalGAP - certified growing areas in Ninh Thuan (now part of Khanh Hoa). This region has a hot climate year-round and well-drained soil, resulting in thick, low-slimy, naturally fresh aloe vera leaves. In addition, the aloe vera is processed using modern production lines, producing clear, non-bitter, lightly crunchy aloe vera that does not become soft even after prolonged soaking in tea.

GC Food aloe vera is carefully processed to remove slime, maintain a clear and crunchy texture and is ideal for use in refreshing beverages.

2. How to make sweet and tangy mango aloe vera tea

Once all the ingredients are ready, you can start preparing mango aloe vera tea by following the steps below as guided by GC Food.

2.1 Step 1: Prepare the mango

Wash the mango thoroughly to remove any dirt, then peel and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Make sure the pieces are small enough to be enjoyed through a straw. After cutting, divide the mango flesh into two equal portions for use in the next steps.

2.2 Step 2: Brew the tea

Place 60g of tea leaves into a filter bag and put it into a large container. Add 2,000ml of hot water and steep for 15 minutes. This duration allows the tea to fully release its aroma and flavor, resulting in a fragrant brew without bitterness.

After brewing, remove the tea leaves and keep only the tea extract. Next, add ice cubes to the brewed tea and stir until the ice is almost melted, then store it in the refrigerator.

Note: The total volume of the brewed tea after adding ice should be approximately 3,800ml.

2.3 Step 3: Prepare one glass of mango aloe vera tea

Add 20ml of sugar syrup, 1 tablespoon of mango jam, 1 tablespoon of GC Food aloe vera, and 150ml of the brewed tea from step 2 into a shaker. Add ice up to the 400ml mark, then shake well to combine all the ingredients.

2.4 Step 4: Garnish the drink

Place half of the prepared mango pieces at the bottom of the glass. Pour in the shaken mango tea along with ice. Then add 1 tablespoon of GC Food aloe vera and gently stir to enhance the refreshing taste. Finally, top the drink with the remaining mango pieces for a more vibrant and appealing presentation.
